However, I haven't forgotten about you. I will continue writing at the first available opportunity. Anytime I find a hole, I'll write something that I hope is of interest. Rowlett "officialdom" may not think I know anything about real estate development. That's because they don't like what I write. However, a whole bunch of real estate professionals from financing to construction and land development think that I do know a little bit about real estate development. See first paragraph.
One short note: I have never held myself out to be anything other than a real estate professional. Nothing else. When I form an opinion, I tell you why. When I made any reference to the previous city manager, I was not reflecting on her overall city management capabilities. She knows how to buy a fire truck better than I. I didn't like her management style and her maniacal control policies. Of course, I thought she knew nothing about real estate more complicated than buying a house. Unfortunately, real estate knowledge in its entirety is needed to properly plan for productive tax base. This knowledge should include marketing, planning, finance, construction costs, and private business sense. Tax Base is what pays the city's bills. So.......to clarify things, when I call our previous city manager a jerk, I only mean it in a real estate sense. As far as I know, she knew how to buy a fire truck.
Poor, poor ole' Duncanville. I feel for them.
