Anyway, an important event occurred that is suitable for comment. The City Council rejected the Bayside developer's proposal to eliminate the lagoon, fountain, and trolley. That is good. I don't know what's next, but whatever it is, I'm supportive of the fight. If the developers had half a brain, and that is worthy of debate, they will sit down with Council and work out some suitable, and acceptable, solutions. It would be best for both parties.
The alternative is very expensive. Normally, developers respond to expense. However, these developers seem to have a different playbook. It is not known if their playbook was edited by anyone that knows developer ethics and relationships, particularly with cities that approve their projects. Their playbook seems to have been written by someone between 8th and 9th grades.
