The Dallas Morning News had an article this morning about Plano "fast tracking" some apartment applications to accommodate the immediate needs for residential space of arriving Toyota employees.
I am pleased to report that Rowlett is also "fast tracking" the dismissal of quality housing to save the land in favor of the office and warehouse needs of the Toyota employees. To the best of my knowledge, Rowlett is the only town with such forward thinking. We will catch all other area municipalities by surprise. I don't think anyone else has had such original ideas.
