The success of the PR campaign will be in direct proportion to the collective IQ of Rowlett citizens. They are betting you are pretty stupid. They are betting that because you tolerated being lied to without tar and feathering them, you're good to go for another scam. The new scam is to convince you that the City Council, for some reason, is preventing them from "building a better Bayside." The fact that they offer no reason, incentive, or motive for such behavior seems to escape them. They just guess that City Council is just plain stupid and didn't have anything to do, anyway.
Or, maybe they think you're just plain stupid. Let's see. They lied to Council. They lied to the citizens. They lied to the purchasers of the $34.5 million bonds. They have become so good at lying, it's no wonder they are trying another lie. They're good at it. They are trying to get the lower IQ's of Rowlett to join them in their fight against Rowlett City Council. I guess they feel that will help them in their legal battle with the City of Rowlett.
Folks, let me share something with you. Almost universally, lawsuit outcomes are determined by facts........not public opinion.
The landowners are the ones who convinced City Council to join them in development of Bayside, as initially presented, then enticed the Council to issue $34.5 million in bonds, then collected $3 million in bond proceeds, and then said, "Well, we were only kidding about the lagoon, fountain, and trolley. We're gonna do something else. We'll even gamble a lot of money on a PR campaign because we think Rowlett citizens are too stupid to know otherwise."
If you sign up to support the landowners of Bayside against the City of Rowlett, you are a fool.
