"Such negative comments showing up on the Facebook groups! I don't understand half the citizens of this city. Why would they not be welcoming a BILLION dollars worth of investment to our city?? Do they not know that that is the only way our roads and bridges are going to get repaired and our fire houses and parks built? Where do they think the money is going to come from? What if jerry jones had come to the city with an idea to build his stadium here within the city limits instead of Arlington? That was also a billion dollar project! I think the naysayers would have been singing a different tune because of the nature of the project and the NFL. I work within the Arlington city limits and the changes in that city that are still being made today because the stadium is there is staggering! Every road around our office has been repaired and completeky rebuilt within the last couple of years. The old apartments near the stadium are undergoing capital improvements and the neighborhoods are gaining value seemingly overnight! I've never understood people who rail and doubt developers, how else do things get built?!"

Some can see a vision and fully understand what that vision can provide upon completion. Some can't. And, some just can't stand change of any sort. Most change is good, if it provides for the betterment of society. No change for a culture nearly always means no improvement and almost certainly deterioration. Change for the worse is always the first step toward ultimate inconsequence. No one will ever know you were there.
