Ron Miller is uniquely qualified to evaluate the financial tap-dancing being done by the Rowlett Committee and the city organizations. Without malice, Mr. Miller not only defines the situation, but he then defines the issues, offering questions of the reader and most of all of the City officials and planners.
Paraphrased - Mr. Miller wondered if the city officials did not understand their actions taken with the financial dealings in regards to the "Village", or was it intentional. IMO, to impose confusion lends itself to either ignorance, or intentional misdirection toward the people who pay the taxes and various salaries, with the thought that people either do not have the time to research; or do not have the time to pretend to listen - if at all, or do not understand the overall process of Financial Stewardship and proper management thereof!
Thank goodness Mr. Miller excels in these areas, and the "elected stewards of Rowlett tax dollars and the people's interest", should take note and man up to what appears to be their inadequacies that involve stepping into a major project that quite possibly will leave residents unexpectedly being held up by more taxes to pay for a comedy of errors that are instead a tragedy.
I greatly admire Mr. Miller for his willingness, his effort and time involved, and equally his expertise being freely provided to inform the public of the pitfalls that come when personalities prevail in an election, rather than substantive knowledge.
Just my opinion.
