So it doesn't even matter what the "float" time is. It'd be like charging you a late fee because you gave them a check on Friday and they didn't go to the bank until Monday.
Wow! Secondly float time has been significantly reduced. Banks now get charged for unreasonable float. And inflation is so low that hanging onto the money can cost them. Plus with electronic transfers instead of actual checks the "float" is reduced even more.
