Then, go to I-35 anywhere, Lavon Highway (#78), North Central (US 75) or any other freeway with 4-6 lanes and and count the 18 wheelers there. Was there a notable difference? Good for you!! You're observant. You are becoming a loan officer. I think in the past year I have observed two 18 wheelers on the tollway. One was a Target truck. He didn't have much choice. I'm sure there have been others, but I wouldn't like to make a living on what I have seen. Where are the trucks?!!
If a trucker was driving down from Oklahoma City on I-35, or coming down from Durant, OK, they would be entering the Dallas area from the north. Some of these truckers are going to want to go east on I-30. If they know anything about Dallas at all, they know what traffic they are heading into on both of those hiways, and LBJ. It ain't gonna be fun. So, why not take the tollway around that mess and get on I-30 at least 30 minutes faster and a lot less stress? But.......there isn't any 18 wheeler traffic on the tollway. Wonder why?
Do you think whatever reason the truckers have in choosing the more stressful route might suggest Rowlett's need for an industrial park might be a little exaggerated.....or off the mark? I don't know. There aren't any facts to prove anything. It seems to be just opinion that we need one. Prove it.
