I'm a big fan of Samuel Clements. I will paraphrase something he said. "It is often better to remain quiet and appear to be a fool, than to begin talking and remove all doubt." We have some problem solving needed in Rowlett. It doesn't do any good to point fingers. That doesn't solve anything. It is infinitely better to think, and watch puppies. Only then, do we have a chance of putting the wheels back on.
Lawsuit with Bayside. Discrimination lawsuits. Tree ordinance violations and stop orders. Form Base Codes that do not allow ample turning radius of emergency vehicles, and garage drives that are so small, that butts of cars stick out into the alleys. Arguments with kayak sports development, etc. etc. etc. A little creative thinking could help. Problem solving is never easy. But, the right mind set helps. Sometimes the current course of action is appropriate. Sometimes it isn't. Creative thinking, applied wisely, helps.
