All of my surviving com padres are now old. Some, like me, never faced action. Some did. Of those that did, their memories are not so pleasant.
It might appear that I'm selfish if I write about veteran's needs, because I am one. But I'm not. I, fortunately, have no need for post service attention. However, many veterans do, and the treatment of post military service veterans is deplorable. Certainly some good is done, but huge amounts of need are going without attention.
I have fairly good memories about my military service. However, many veterans memories are nightmares. Injuries are real, not comic book drama. Watching close friends die take a horrible, terrible toll. As a medic, I saw some of this.
It seems pretty clear to me that the congress of the USA does not see any urgency, and the bureaucrats are totally useless in providing veteran's most urgent needs. Bureaucrats don't answer to you and most of the time don't answer to anyone except themselves. You have to fix this with the tools you have......that is the vote. Congress will respond to anyone that has the power to throw their asses into the unemployment line.
Only you can fix the veteran's plight..
