First, let me cover some background info. I am not a racist. This blog site and my Facebook posts are peppered with my denial of racism. I have had Black friends since the 5th grade. Every one of them has character, intelligence, humor, and I consider myself lucky to know them. I have at least as many Hispanic friends, and probably more. I couldn't care less about the color of their skin.
I also think that racism over the years was becoming less of an issue as time moved along. I have many friends that are White, conservative, business people. I probably haven't heard a racist comment out of them for longer than I can remember........probably 40 years, or longer. Was there still racism? Of course, but over the years it was becoming less of an issue. Racists were almost on the lunatic fringe.
Then, about 10 years ago, racism began to raise it's ugly head, again. The 2nd term of Obama contained more rhetoric about racism than I had heard or years. Trump was then elected and Black and Hispanic people began earning more money with higher employment rates. In fact, things were so good that Blacks and Hispanics began to migrate from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party. It wasn't a huge migration, but certainly noticeable. Blacks were 96% registered with the Democrat Party to 84% within four years. Not a lot, but noticeable. Blacks and Hispanics were appearing on conservative media news channels. They were occupying high level positions in government. I remember thinking that things were getting better.
Then, about midway during the Trump administration, the wheels began to come off. Racism began to come up a lot in discussions during the last year of Trump's administration. In spite of good employment and income numbers for minorities, conservatives were constantly being accused of being racists. In recent months, Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, police brutality, systemic racism, the burning of Seattle, Portland, Detroit, and the trashing of San Fransisco were all news items. They still are. It is now virtually impossible to turn on TV and avoid some charge of racism. It is far worse now than 10 years ago.
WHY??!! WHAT HAPPENED??!!
I think it's fairly simple. This is all a contrived scenario designed to stem the tide of Blacks and Hispanics from leaving the Democrat Party. The Democrat leaders saw the erosion of membership by minorities. The Democrats had been promising Blacks for 100 years that they would take care of them. They haven't. Trump did. The Blacks were catching on. The Blacks had been conned for 100 years.
Now, in order to stem the tide, Democrats and leftists accuse conservatives of any possible little thing as racist. BLM and ANTIFA flags are flown at all demonstrations. Are there bad apples? Of course, but not to the extent the leftists are painting. I have been accused many time recently of being a racist just because I was White. Isn't that racism? I think much of the southern border issue is the Democrats covering their bets with unfettered infiltration of "new" Democrats from Central America. It is shameful and a novel way of usurping the USA Constitution. It is a revolt.
Minorities are being conned, again. Let's hope they are less susceptible to the con this time. Altho, Socialist Democrats are incredibly skilled at lying.
I am reminded of the sleeping bear. The leftist Democrats are just kicking the hell out of a sleeping bear. At some point, that bear is going to wake up and he is really going to be pissed. My guess is that he is going to be looking for his unrelenting irritant about the time of the next Congressional election. If all the Trump supporters and a little over half of the Independents finally get enough of this crap, the Democrat Party will exit, Stage left, never to be seen again.
